Dr. Saad has been a dentist for 30 years, he opened up Barrington Smiles in 2011 and has been saving the world one smile at a time ever since. Dr. Saad chose the field of dentistry for the joy of seeing his patients smile with confidence. He received his dental degree from Aleppo University in 1989. Because of his passion for dentistry Dr. Saad furthered his knowledge and experience for dental specialty procedures with a two year general practice dental residency at Mercy Hospital in Canton, Ohio and a one year fellowship in Advanced Education in General dentistry at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. During this time, he honed his skills in Cosmetic Dentistry, Rotary root canals, Oral surgery such as wisdom teeth removal, dental implant placement and restoration and more.
At Barrington Smiles' state of art office, Dr. Saad provides all aspects of dentistry. He enjoys creating new smiles and treats every smile as a piece of art.
When not treating his patients, Dr. Saad enjoys swimming, playing soccer and traveling with his wife Mai, son Christopher and daughter Angelina.
Donna Grzegorek is a passionate member of the dental community and has demonstrated her love of dentistry over 3 decades, practicing full time clinical hygiene. While embracing all facets of the dental industry, Donna expanded her expertise by becoming a myofunctional therapist, key opinion leader, published author, speaker, mentor, hygiene educator and practice coach. Donna is a member of multiple professional associations and has sat on numerous committees and boards.
Donna's drive set the stage for several industry recognitions including: Discus Dental's 'Hygienist of the Year', the Sunstar/RDH 'Award of Distinction', and ADHA's Hygienist Hero. More recently she was recognized by her alma mater as a Distinguished Alumna. Recognizing the importance of 'paying it forward', Donna established an endowed scholarship that is gifted each year to deserving first year dental hygiene students at Harper College, that will continue in perpetuity.
Donna's desire to give back to the community continues through volunteerism and has manifested itself in many events at schools, churches, senior living facilities, hospitals and group homes. Fun Fact: Donna's most unique accomplishment was raising community awareness about the importance of dental flossing. Donna set a Guinness World Book Record for: 'The Most People Dental Flossing on a Single Strand of Dental Floss'. (296 people)
Donna's core belief has always been that the dental hygienist is a key component to systemic health. As a healthcare provider Donna promotes full body wellness through meticulous oral health. Donna is proactive in her belief for early oral cancer detection and practices advanced oral cancer screening protocols. Donna recognizes that the dental professional is accustomed to saving teeth; but respects the opportunity and critical responsibility to save lives. Donna looks forward to meeting you and collaborating to achieve excellent health.
Amira is a unique and welcomed addition to our team. Amira is a long time patient who was inspired to seek dentistry as a career path. Amira has a Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Arts & Sciences with a major in Biological Sciences from University of Illinois at Chicago. Amira’s long term goal is to attend dental school and eventually become an orthodontist. Amira is currently responsible for the administrative duties, as she understands the importance of mastering all nuances of the dental office. She knows that working directly with the patient in all capacities will help her succeed in the future,
Amira played volleyball for 6 years. In Amira’s free times she loves spending time with her very large family. Amira looks forward to meeting you and looks forward to assisting you attain your dental objectives.
Michelle is one of our dental assistants, she has always had an interest in dentistry. She became a dental assistant in preparation for going to Hygiene school. Currently she is anxiously waiting her acceptance into the Harper Dental Hygiene Program. As a child, Michelle loved getting her teeth cleaned. She looks forward to providing that same feeling for her patients some day.
In Michelle’s personal time you will find her with her family, taking a road trip cross country or painting. Michelle looks forward to meeting each of our patients and assisting them attain their dental goals.
Laura Soto is our insurance coordinator. You will find her at the front desk working diligently to maximize our patient’s insurance benefits. Laura’s 5 year tenure has also given her opportunity to assist chair side. That chair side experience has facilitated a better understanding of the nuances of treatment procedures enabling her to be more effective as an insurance coordinator. Laura states: “I find it very rewarding to help our patients in any way I can”.
In Laura’s free time, Laura loves to draw and color. Her favorite “super hero” is Batman, because he doesn’t need any special power to be a hero. Laura looks forward to meeting each of you and working with you to attain your dental goals.
Natalie Perez joined our team as a dental assistant in 2020. Her desire is to be in a fiend where she can help people. Natalie is cross-trained and you may even see her in a front desk role on occasion. Her love for dentistry has inspired her to want to continue working her education in this field and finish her school.
Natalie has two children and enjoys spending time with family. In her spare time you will find her cooking and baking. Natalie looks forward to working with each patient in helping them to attain their dental goals.
